Discovering Tune-Yards

I am momentarily obsessed with Tune-Yards and Merrill Garbus. Last album, whokill, came out mid-2011 but I'm only getting into it now.   I like the concept of musicians who present projects rather than themselves as individual artists (see Trent Reznor/NIN).  Perhpas a viable path for musicians who don't want to be a product that competes with, overshadows, or undermines their music. Anyway, Garbus has the kind of fearlessness I see and admire in Bjork. They take chances and I like the raw vibe of their vocals.  Here is a great live Tune-Yards performance where she is looping her own voice.
